A student will be placed on academic probation at the end of the fall or spring semester in which the Texas State GPA is less than 2.00. A student will be removed from academic probation at the end of any long semester or summer term if the Texas State GPA is 2.00 or higher.
Students placed on academic probation are given two probationary semesters (fall or spring terms) to raise their Texas State GPA to 2.00.

Students must meet minimum academic standards in work completed at Texas State. Only grades earned at Texas State are considered for academic probation and suspension status.

Just like an in-person advising appointment, this is a collaborative effort between the student and advisor. Because we are not meeting in person, we want to make sure you know how to utilize your Degree Audit and flowcharts to make informed decisions. Then, the advisor will review what you think you need to take and respond with any changes or suggestions regarding course choices.
Include prefix, number, and course title. For example: MATH 2471 - Calculus I
If you do not intend to enroll in summer courses, write "n/a - no summer courses."
If you do not intend to enroll in fall courses, write "n/a - no fall courses."
