Email Orientation Advising for Transfers & Readmits [COSE Students]

This form is for new transfer students and Texas State students returning from a break from school. The form requires your Texas State email. Make sure you activate your Texas State email account. Our response will be sent to your Texas State email.

Welcome to Texas State! We are glad to have you. Please complete this form to start the advising portion of your New Student Orientation experience.

This form will provide the advisors with information needed to best advise you. We will respond to your email with information about your degree, course recommendations for the upcoming semester(s), and any necessary course evaluations you should submit.

After you receive an email advising response to your Texas State email, you are welcome to reply with more questions or schedule a Zoom appointment by calling 512-245-1315.

Please note: the College of Science and Engineering does not offer any undergraduate degrees online. All College of Science and Engineering degrees will require on-campus coursework.


Complete Coursework Missing From Your Texas State Record

Log into Texas State Self-Service. Click on "Degree Audit" and then "Class History." Determine if any coursework that you have completed is missing from your audit. If coursework is missing, please list the coursework in the box below. Advisors need this information to accurately advise you.

Provide the course prefix and number, the institution, and the grade received. For AP exams, provide the exam title and grade received.

Example 1) MATH 2413 - Calculus I; Austin Community College; Grade of A

Example 2) English Language & Composition AP Exam; Score of 4
